Jillian (51) went from hobbling in pain to walking 1,000 steps in Greece (& feeling sexy again)
WATCH JILLIAN'S STORY
Jillian discovered the missing piece between what she THOUGHT she knew about exercise – and what actually works.
Jillian got her MOJO back: She lost 20 pounds, stopped leaking, and can move well again.
“This is the biggest secret no one has told you. This is a missing piece.”
At 51, Jillian was not someone who had ignored her health. She’s a functional nutritionist. She lifted weights, ran, cycled, worked with personal trainers, and went to physio.
And yet, as she puts it:
“My whole right side was a mess.”
She was dealing with SI joint issues, hip bursitis, IT band pain, plantar fasciitis, Achilles problems, a sprained knee, and recurring fibromyalgia pain.
She had lived with fibromyalgia for 17 years and could sometimes turn her neck the wrong way and suddenly be hit with excruciating pain.
She also had a trip to Greece coming up.
Jillian started the Reshape Method® in July. By September, she was in Santorini walking the famous 1,000 steps. Twice.
She says she was already feeling noticeably better within the first three or four weeks of starting the program.
This conversation happened about a year later, not because it took Jillian a year to get results.
This one-year-on review gives us the chance to see whether those early changes actually lasted.
They did.
JILLIAN’S RESULTS AT A GLANCE
SHE WALKED 1,000 STEPS IN SANTORINI ... TWICE
When Jillian joined, her trip to Greece was weighing heavily on her mind. She was in enough pain that she was genuinely worried about becoming the person who couldn’t walk around and participate.
“I can’t be that person that can’t walk around Greece. I’m not ready for a scooter.”
Two months after starting the Reshape Method®, she was in Santorini.
“I walked up the steps of Santorini – twice.”
Quite a change for someone who had recently felt like she was moving around in an 80-year-old body.
HER FOOT AND FIBROMYALGIA-RELATED NECK PAIN WERE STILL GONE A YEAR LATER
Before the Reshape Method®, Jillian was dealing with plantar fasciitis, Achilles issues, and recurring fibromyalgia-related neck pain. By the time we caught up for this one-year-on review, she reported no foot ache and no return of those neck-pain episodes.
“My body doesn’t hurt.”
That’s the important part. These weren’t changes that appeared for a few weeks – they were still holding.
SHE LOST 20 POUNDS AND TWO CLOTHING SIZES
Jillian also lost 20 pounds and two clothing sizes. She noticed the change through her belly, her neck, and the way her whole body looked and felt. But the thing Jillian talks about most isn’t the number on the scale – it’s how she feels in her body.
“I feel sexy. I can move.”
Fair point. Hobbling rarely makes anyone feel particularly fabulous.
BLADDER LEAKING STOPPED
This wasn’t why Jillian joined the Reshape Method®, but it was one of those very welcome changes that deserves a mention.
“I’m not peeing myself.”
No elaborate wellness language required: one less thing to think about; one more way her body felt like hers again.
SHE COULD LIFT WITHOUT HER KNEES TAKING OVER
Jillian had always believed harder work meant better results, so she lifted heavy, she ran, she cycled, and she pushed. But she also noticed that the way she was lifting was bothering her knees.
Once she changed her alignment and how she was using her body, lifting felt different.
“As soon as I was aligned, I was able to lift heavier with ease.”
The strength was still there. The difference was that the Reshape Method® allowed the right muscles to share the work.
SHE STOPPED WORRYING ABOUT RECOVERY
Before the Reshape Method®, if Jillian pushed too hard, she could pay for it for weeks. And worrying about what would hurt (and how long it would take to recover) used up a lot of mental space.
Now, if she overdoes something, she says she can usually reset and feel better within a day.
That changes what she’s willing to do. And she's back to downhill skiing, cycling, walking, lifting, and travel.
She was even planning to get back on water skis after five years away.
“WHY DON’T OTHERS DO THIS?”
One of Jillian’s biggest surprises was how simple the work felt compared with everything she had been doing before. She was used to lifting hard, running, cycling, and believing that better results required more effort.
The Reshape Method® asked her to slow down, notice what her body was actually doing, and make small corrections before piling more work on top.
That took some getting used to, but it also made her wonder why she had never been taught it before.
“I don’t wanna say it’s stupid easy, but it’s so easy. It’s like, why don’t other people do this?”
For Jillian, the surprise wasn’t that she needed to work harder; it was that she needed to understand her body better and get properly aligned.
SHE KNEW A LOT ABOUT THE BODY. THIS WAS STILL NEW.
Jillian works in health and wellness. She had spent years around exercise, physio, personal training, and movement. So realizing she had missed something this fundamental was a little humbling.
“I felt stupid for not knowing it, but then I realized that I needed to learn this.”
That matters.
The Reshape Method® wasn’t giving her another list of exercises to add to everything she already knew. It was showing her the difference between knowing what an exercise is supposed to do and knowing what her own body was actually doing while she performed it.
As Jillian put it:
“Thank you so much, Tracy, for introducing it [the Reshape Method®] to me. Giving me that opportunity to see the difference between what I thought I knew and what really works.”
That’s a pretty big distinction for someone who already works in the health industry.
SHE WAS WORKING HARD. HER BODY WAS WORKING AROUND IT.
Jillian’s instinct had always been to go harder: more weight, more intensity, more effort. It suited her because she runs her life at high speed. But being fit doesn’t automatically mean every part of your body is doing its fair share.
Jillian had strong quads, for example, while other muscles through her hips and backside weren’t contributing nearly as well. So she could work incredibly hard and still keep loading the same unhappy areas.
The missing piece wasn’t motivation, it wasn’t another workout – it was alignment.
“I THOUGHT I WAS FULLY ALIGNED”
Jillian genuinely thought her alignment was fine. Then, during her Midlife Alignment Reveal™ intro Zoom call, we changed a few things about how she was standing and moving, and an ache eased almost immediately.
That's when Jillian thought:
“Okay. She knows something.”
It also helped explain why so many things she had already tried felt incomplete.
For example, physical therapy would work on one area, then another area would compensate. So she needed the chiropractor, then massage, then back to the gym.
Lots of sensible pieces, but nobody had shown her how those pieces were working together.
DOING LESS TOOK SOME GETTING USED TO
Jillian was used to programs that told her to push harder. But the Reshape Method® asked her to do something different: start where you are, slow down, pay attention, let your body learn.
For a high achiever, that can feel too easy. But within three or four weeks, Jillian was already noticing enough change that she wanted to keep going.
“It works! Everything has a purpose. The steps are incremental, but you notice a difference.”
She also stayed consistent – something she says had not always happened with other programs.
Why?
Because she felt better doing it.
SHE DIDN’T HAVE TO GIVE UP THE ACTIVE LIFE SHE LOVES
Jillian has zero interest in becoming less active with age. The goal was never to avoid activity so nothing hurt. It was to build a body that could keep doing the things she loves to do.
“I feel young. I feel like I’m in my thirties.”
At 51, she isn’t planning to shrink her life around her body. She wants her body ready for the life she’s planning.
ONE YEAR ON, THE CHANGES WERE STILL THERE
This is what makes Jillian’s review especially insightful.
Her Greece trip shows us what had already changed during the 12-week program – this interview shows us what happened after.
She was still using what she learned. She was still walking differently, lifting heavy, skiing and cycling, feeling stronger.
She was still not dealing with the foot and neck pain that had been such a problem before.
And she still had the tools to reset when something felt off.
“This works into your life.”
She didn’t just feel better for a few weeks. She learned how to move differently – and kept the change.
SHE GOT MORE THAN PAIN RELIEF
Pain had been affecting more than Jillian’s movement. Repeated injuries had chipped away at her confidence, so she worried about what she could do, what would hurt, and how long recovery might take.
But now she feels stronger, sexier, and more confident. She walks into a room differently, and she’s excited about what her body can do again.
Jillian summed up the wider transformation rather efficiently:
“It has changed my outlook, my body, and my sex life.”
Her words, not mine.
But there’s something important underneath them ...
When your body stops taking up so much mental space, there’s a lot more room for everything else.
That’s what getting your mojo back looks like.
COULD ALIGNMENT BE YOUR MISSING PIECE?
Jillian didn’t need another workout telling her to try harder. She needed to understand why all that effort wasn’t translating into a body that felt as strong and capable as she knew it could.
She needed to reshape her alignment, change how her body moved, and redefine midlife on her terms!
